What I did for them

The Brief

Creating a visual identity for an event isn’t just about designing a logo. It’s about translating an intention into something people can feel before they even walk through the door. For Spicy Kreyol, the objective was clear from the start: build a night that puts culture, music, mutual respect, and the quality of the overall experience front and center, both in content and in atmosphere.

I was brought in to build the entire visual universe of the event. The goal was to create an identity that felt strong, warm, and instantly recognizable — one capable of reflecting Spicy Kreyol’s core values: culture, sharing, respect, and collective energy.

A key part of the brief was differentiation. Spicy Kreyol wanted to stand apart from other events in the same genre through an authentic, heritage rooted visual identity — one that felt genuinely connected to Caribbean and Creole culture, rather than following the generic codes typically seen in nightlife communication.

The Solution

My work on the visual side of the project included:

  • Visual identity creation (logo and graphic system)
  • Social media content design
  • Visual declinations for digital communication

The identity couldn’t simply aim to be « impactful. » It needed to transmit an atmosphere — the atmosphere of an event where people come as much for the music as for the human energy surrounding it. Every graphic choice, from the bold typography to the warm color palette, was made to support that feeling of collective celebration rather than just visual noise.

Results & Impact

The branding rolled out across several weeks of communication, maintaining a cohesive identity across every touchpoint — from event posters to social media assets. The results speak for themselves:

  • The event sold out before doors even opened
  • Numerous people showed up hoping to find a ticket on-site
  • The campaign generated hundreds of likes and thousands of views across social posts

The visual identity didn’t just promote an event. It set the tone for an experience people wanted to be part of, well before the music even started.
